Welcome to Berkane

Berkane, in the extreme north-eastern Morocco, the city is nestled between the Mediterranean sea to the north, Wadi kiss (on the border with Algeria) and its neighboring provinces to the east Oujda, Nador and west Taourirt south. Berkane is named after the patron saint of the city, Sidi Ahmed Aberkane (Amazigh, Aberkane means “black.” Berkane owes its prosperity to its important agricultural center: 10 000 hectares of irrigated area located in the plain of Tiffrais, where vine-growing, cereal, fruit, citrus, vegetables, whole … Agropole designated because of its important agricultural assets, the province of Berkane tends to diversify its products. The city is also a good starting point for spectacular mountain Beni Snassen surroundings.
